On 21 October 2025, Bison Maldives formally signed an agreement with the Government of Maldives to develop and operate an eco-luxury resort on L. Gasgan’dufinolhu. The agreement was signed at a ceremony in L. Gan, where the President highlighted the government’s plan to expand resort development in under-developed atolls.
Bison Maldives will prioritise local employment, training, and sourcing, providing opportunities for surrounding communities and reinforcing Laamu’s role as a blueprint for responsible tourism development.
